Addicted, what a shame!

Do not go out and play a game called "JEWEL QUEST". This is the most addictive game I have ever played. I even forget to blog because I'm seriously stuck in this game. It's like reading the Twilight books kind of addicting. YIKES!!!
My housework is suffering (I've only done ten loads of laundry instead of twenty). That kind of lose track of time and go to bed after 1 am addicting.
But, after having said all that, it's also a very fun, make me nervous wreck kind of game. And I love it.

I refuse to admit to Jewel Quest love because everyone already thinks I'm obsessed with the Twilight Saga. And I am, of course. I'll admit to no other addictions, especially ones that I've given up because my family, house, and life needed me back!

Never tried it. Better not start. i, apparently, have an addictive personality. (HA!)

And to respond to your previous post, YES - money DON't GROW ON TREES. And $95 for an afterschool teach my 7 year-old how to make stop-motion pictures is a bit outrageous. I don't even know what it is. Maybe I (emphasis) need to take the class ... in my spare time!

My sweet MIL is totally addicted to this game; she even gets up in the middle of the night to play! She once put it on my computer, which I promptly removed. I'm like Lula, I can't have any thing else sucking up my time. I'm saving it all for Edward :)

Oh, dear, now you've tempted me. I may have to check it out...because obviously I'm not addicted enough to other things....

Louisa Claire said...

Part of me wants to google it now and the other part of me is screaming "You have enough addiction in your life with blogging. Leave. It. Alone" which of my alter egos will win I wonder?? visiting from SITS. enjoy your day!!

LOL! I am tempted to find out what the obsession is, but I don't need to get sucked into anything else! Happy SITS day! :)

Crap... now I need to check it out...
What's another obsession? I already have 43!

I know that addiction well, I am currently addicted to the never ending trivia game at Good Reads! lol

I will resist the urge and keeo to blogging only - as if I am not addicted already!

I wasn't much addicted to Jewel Quest as I was the original Bejeweled... essentially is the same game. I think I am just used to the colors and shapes of one and not the other.

Lately I have been stuck playing a game called Spliterature on myyearbook.com. They combine 2 words, give you a hint and you have to pick out letters in the order the word is spelled.

EX: Cat

F E D O L I G N E

You would click the D O G to be able to combine the other letters.

Anywho. Happy SITS day!

I'm pretending I never heard about it.

Too funny! I had a SIMS addiction for a while so I try to avoid the online games because we all know how easy it is to get sucked in! I will stay far, far away from Jewel Quest.

I still say you haven't lived until you've been addicted to Jewel Quest.
(Jewel Free for 1,274 days!)

Congrats on your SITS feature!

I went through a BIG jewel quest period playing it on POGO but I have switched to Word Whomp which I find very addictive as well.

Astrid in Bristling Acres said...

Can honestly say I've never heard of that game. Perhaps that's a good thing! I am reading the Twilight series but I'm finding I'm not as addicted to the books as I thought I would be. Hmmm...

Happy SITS day!

Rhea said...

I'm still tempted...I have to check this out.

My grandpa was adicted to tetris for years. It was so funny to watch him play. I'm glad you have found something to enjoy!

Heather said...

I do not know this Jewel Quest. I do not WANT to know this Jewel Quest.

I am completely addicted to the word games over on Facebook (wordscraper, scramble, pathwords, lexulous et al). Prior to that, I was addicted to Literati on Yahoo Games, and prior to that, I was addicted to Tetris on my Palm Pilot. (Yes, I would fall asleep and dream of Tetris shapes floating into place.)

I also have a game called "Roofrats" on my computer that is mindless yet addicting. I will sit at the computer and play it while I'm talking on the phone, since it is mindless, and then I get busted when people hear the CLICKCLICKCLICKCLICK of my mouse.

I have to get myself a quieter mouse! :D

Cheers!

Whoah! I had no idea there was something that could rival Twilight addiction! I am staying far away from that!

It's too late! I'm already an addict:(

Yep, I had a Jewel Quest addiction too. I finally quit...but now I'm addicted to word games. Oh dear.

Then I probably shouldn't tell you about a website I recently found called addictinggames.com. No? You don't want to know about it? Hmmm. Because this game called Bubble Spinner has probably taken four and half years of my life already. It's powerful. :) Have a great SITS day!

We all love a good addictive game! I'm going to forget you mentioned it because I don't have time for another addiction right now :)

Oh boy, addictive video games. They added a tetris type game to (my kids') webkinz, that I've been known to play long after they're in bed :)

Unknown said...

Have no idea what Jewel Quest is, but if it's a video game, then I won't be any good at it. I can't even figure out Mario Cart!!

Brandy said...

Not addicted to this (I don't think) but I am forbidden to play Bejeweled. Whenever I do some weird vortex is created and my day passes without me even knowing it....it's a scientific disaster.

Thanks for the warning!

Ryan Ashley Scott said...

Sounds like fun - I know better than to even try it! Before child, my husband and I were addicted to the Nintendo 64 Mario game. We missed work on several occasions. :)

Same thing with Twilight - I'm afraid to even pick it up.

Not even going there -- my blogging addiction is devouring enough of my life!

My husband whines that I blog too much, so I certainly cannot start up "Jewel Quest," but thanks for the heads up. I might just go take a peak at it.

And Happy Sits Day, again!

I'm convinced civilizations might very well cease to exist if wold leaders ever were allowed to play this game. Maybe that's what happened over in Iceland...oh no.

Ha! Oh I'm addicted to all sorts of silly games like that...Jewel Quest, Diner Dash, Mystic Inn. It's a sickness really.

Hey...nothing wrong with a little game playin'. LOL! I liked Bejeweled, too, not sure I've seen Jewel Quest. Hmmm...I may have to go find it! Enjoy your SITS day!

Oh, I will stay away from that. Twilight had my house in shambles!

It is TOTALLY addictive. Bad. But so good.

I have no idea what Jewel Quest is. None.

Now I have to go find out.

I SOOOO adore the game too!

Ronnica said...

I used to play the underwater version of that (I don't remember what it was called!). Oh, and I just played a round of Jewel Quest in your honor...I had to make myself stop!

I don't know how ya'll find the time for addictions. It's all I can do to get through the day and knock off a few things from my to do list. I'd love a guilty pleasure like Twilight or Jewel Quest.

Pamela said...

Happy SITS day! It least you got 10 loads done, I am running out clothes, so I guess I will need to go do 1 load!

Well, I'm right there with ya! I love Jewel Quest! One night when I first started playin' it, well, the sun was comin' up when I went to bed! Too addictive for words.

Denise Emanuel Clemen said...

I don't know why, but I've never been attracted to computer games. I like board games & especially appreciate the fact that they don't make weird, unpredictable noises.

Ash said...

I suggest you stay as far away from Webkinz as possible!!!

It's like Vegas for kids, but the parents are really the ones that get sucked in. Smart marketers.

AdriansCrazyLife said...

I love that game. It's very addictive, isn't it.

What the heck is Jewel Quest...maybe i should find out...i'm easily addicted!!!

We used to play that at work when we got bored. Shhh, don't tell.

I was a Jewel Quest addict! I quit cold turkey when I realized it was taking three hours for me to play a single round!

Then I got addicted to Mah Jong Quest...again, another three hour session, and I quit cold turkey.

Now I'm addicted to the Playfish games on Facebook: Pet Society, Geo Challenge, and my fave, Who Has the Biggest Brain. I have the biggest brain out of all my friends; I beat the score of two physics majors! For that I am truly proud!

Walk away from the Jewel Quest. Happy SITS day. ;)

I can totally relate. We have Bejeweled Deluxe, which is basically Jewel Quest. I've scored over 1,000,000 three times! I hadn't played it for a while, and just tried to pull it up the other night, and there was an error. I wonder if my husband removed it from our computer? Hmmmmm.....

Elizabeth M Thompson said...

First the caramel-drizzled cake, now this! Are you trying to lure me into addictive behavior? Sheesh, and you call yourself a friend.

Esther said...

I've never heard of it and I better not check it out. My family thinks I spend too long on the computer as it is. Well, maybe just a peek won't hurt, just so I know what you're talking about. That's all, I swear.

Thanks for the warning. :) Blogging is enough for me. My house is totally suffering.

I've heard of it... haven't played yet. But I like many others here need no more addictions! :)
