It's Monday.....is anyone else overwhelmed?

It is Monday morning. I am so overwhelmed, I am in tears.
I had such high hopes for myself this new year. I really, really want to get my house more organized and get myself on a routine of cleaning. But it is such a big job I just found myself sitting in the chair and crying. I am overwhelmed.
I wanted to get a portable storage shed this year and put all the decoration boxes and stuff that is seasonal in there. Well, we certainly can't afford that. I am trying to think of inventive ways to store those bazillion bins, but I just can't.
So I find that instead of accomplishing ANYthing, I am just so overwhelmed I am doing NOTHING.
Any tips, ladies? Help me, I'm drowning!!!

I'd say - don't look at the whole picture. Just pick one small job/part and concentrate on getting it done. Once that's done, move onto something else. Before long you'll see a big difference in the whole picture.

Can you put it in the attic? I'm thinking of storing some yard sale stuff in my attic. Not that I've ever been up there.

I suggest just taking it 15 minutes at a time. Pick a corner to start in. Take a picture of it if you have a digital camera, then set the timer for 15 minutes and take another picture. Repeat. Between the 15's take a 5 or 10 computer break (or reading, or whatever you like to do). Slowly but surely you can get it done. Don't let it overwhelm you.

If you are on facebook, I suggest the flylady page. We often post our decluttering accomplishments on there.

When I get to feeling that way, I take small bites. Sometimes, I just need to take a day and do nothing and then start taking small bites. Tomorrow is another day. You will get through this. Don't entertain those thoughts that overwhelm you!!!!! Love you!
