Well, I bet all two of my followers have been wondering where I have been (not really, but let's just pretend, okay?).

I just finished reading a book by Suzanne Collins called "The Hunger Games". Seriously, if you haven't read this book, you need to run on down to the local library and check it out. I could hardly believe how well written this book is. And what moralistic dilemmas these folks face. It was a great read and I definitely recommend it to anyone.

On to other tidbits, my son had his second session with a well known educational enhancement center that rhymes with Tillthen. He seems to like going and they are definitely doing him some good. So we will continue on at least until the summer anyway and probably more likely into November. I have high hopes for their academic enrichment curriculum.

Anyone else out there had any experiences with this kind of thing?

Glad to hear Hunger Games is good. I've got it on reserve at the library and I'm #4 in line...woohoo!

I used to work for the company that rhymes with Tillthen. I wholeheartedly believe in what they do: the personalization and "filling in the gaps" after testing. I know it is expensive, but I think it is worth it. I saw SOOOO many students improve with their methods. I follow you on google reader, so I don't know.. you may have at least 3 readers LOL I have one!

I'll have to check that one out. I taught first grade so I didn't have any students that went there for extra help there. I have heard good things though. My old principal use to send her son there.
