FINALLY......I'M FINISHED
Okay everyone, I have finally finished the Twilight series. I have to tell you, it worked out better than I had hoped for. No spoilers though. It is a relief to finally be finished though. No more wondering when I was going to get that call from my local l ibrary telling me my crackliture was in and that I could pick it up at any time.
I even missed watching the Nascar race at Talladadega yesterday to finish up this book.
Man, I feel such a relief and that a weight has been lifted from my shoulders.(Thanks Lula).
Has anyone else got any crackliture they are recommending?

Hi there. Thanks for stopping by!!!!! I haven't started The Shack like I thought I would this weekend. Needed to take a break from the downers. I finished the Twilight series a couple of weeks ago and I was just as pleased with the ending. It was absolutely amazing. Love your profile statement - Viggo is HOT!!!!!
I am so glad you read those! I was wondering about how they fit in with your beliefs. My daughter has read them and I was not happy they were about vampires. She assured me they were not demonic. It makes me feel better if you kept reading them.
Yeah, they were not demonic. It's like she took old folklore and myths and made them interactive. I do worry that these books are making an inroad into an entire generation making the undead look like creatures that need sympathy and that this vampiric culture is somehow more glamorous than it really should be considered. Taking that into account, it was a good love story (if crazy and totally spooky). If your daughter has half of your brain, she will do well with them. It's all a matter of perspective I guess.
Girl, I have so many great books to recommend! Not sure if you have read them, but the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon is awesome. And some fun reads are the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich. And The Hunger Games is good, too. If you've already read these, drop me a line and I'll list some more.
Glad you liked Twilight...join the club!
I didn't realize there was an official song for Bella's Lullaby out until I looked at your play list on here. I like it. I am still waiting for TJ to finish the 2nd book - I've heard it's not the best of all 4, but I gotta read it to get on to the others, I guess. Have you read the Sue Grafton books (A is for, B is for,...)? I thought those were good - I've got all of them (through T, which was her latest). I could bring down a few at the end of the month.
Mark Of The Lion series by Francine Rivers....
My best friend also recommends books by Gilbert Morris. He takes bible stories and turns them into dramatic retellings.
It was a huge weight to be done with the books. Now onto the movie. Have you read the bit of Midnight Sun that's out at stepheniemeyer.com? It's Twilight from Edwards perspective.
I read the first book in one day. Then the library got them in all out of order adn I missed my pick ups on the other books. Now I am back on the waiting list.
I am excited for the movie!!!
