I don't really mind watching them a few days to see if they get better, I just hate for them to miss so much school (I didn't catch if yours is school age or not).
Thanks for the kind words about my dad.Juliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11137819611978764705noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6409274737104902692.post-65450767697001432942008-12-09T17:58:00.000-05:002008-12-09T17:58:00.000-05:00I cheat. She never treats my kiddos but she tells me when I need to go in and when I should just sit back and wait it out. Isn't that terrible??Annikkehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05267370658109989635noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6409274737104902692.post-61645085627031648332008-12-09T16:47:00.000-05:002008-12-09T16:47:00.000-05:00I tend to be a non-doctor taker and non-medicine g...I tend to be a non-doctor taker and non-medicine giver.. fevers as long as they're under 101 i will let go for 3 days. Coughs and such I don't give meds for unless it's interfering with their sleep... i feel like our bodies were made to fight for themselves and I want to give their bodies a chance to do it before I move to medical intervention.

no.. Sometimes they want the fever to kill whatevr it's after and sometimes they want to prescribe antibiotics. They will tell you over the phone. Flu season- they may just tell you to stay home. Believe me, I am no pro and I used to roll my eyes at my hubby who always wanted to take him right away. But every single time I was glad we did. Just recently my son's eye was bothering him, thought it was just a little something in there so I rolled my eyes again at the hubs for going the next day but he ended up having pink eye.

As for the chocolate cake in a cup. I do have one I want to try. It's on my sidebar - 5 minute chocolate cake and it's made in a cup. Never tried it yet.Live.Love.Eathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10014244331752838359noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6409274737104902692.post-13612942564239179042008-12-09T08:50:00.000-05:002008-12-09T08:50:00.000-05:00Oh poor kid! Unless she is very young, an infant or toddler, my pediatrician always said a fever for 24 is usually not a big deal, teat it with baths and tylenol or motrin. But after 24 hours you should really call the Dr.

disclaimer.....this is not official medical advice, just mommy advice.

Hope she feels better soon.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11186297078340530940noreply@blogger.com
